Oberland Mangold GmbH (OM) specializes in metallic catalyst substrates and flame arrestors for motorcycles, jet skis, quads, passenger cars, commercial vehicles, heat and power units and various industrial applications, with well-known customers around the world.

The new requirements for Euro 7 exhaust aftertreatment from 2025 are taking shape. Together with the automotive supplier BENTELER, Oberland Mangold has developed electric heated catalytic converters (EHC) for future emission requirements. The EHC is already in trials at various OEMs.

"The goal is to improve the environment through technically innovative products," says CEO Frank Vehlen.

Green hydrogen produced by electrolysis is considered key energy carrier of the future. With focus on environmental and energy technology, innovative material compositions and porous structures combined with a high surface area are being developed at Oberland Mangold in close cooperation with universities and leading research institutes, to optimize water electrolysis. OM relies on the development of new assemblies and special catalysts in the electrode material, with high efficiency and long-term stability and good economics.

By optimizing suitable catalyst systems and process reactors, our metal substrates are used in the areas of steam reforming, ammonia cracking and solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC) as well.
